MICHELLE PERKO: Assistant Account Executive

Shelly Perko began at D+CO as an intern and was hired in 2009 after graduating from Duquesne University with a B.A. in Advertising with a concentration in Corporate Communications. Never turning down an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, Shelly is eager to be a part of every aspect of agency life.

She has worked on such accounts as Eastman Chemical, Cal U, Carnegie Learning, The Chautauqua Institution, Pittsburgh Mercy Health System and has played an integral role in new business development. Shelly is in charge of internship initiatives, in addition to the implementation of agency promotion.

At Duquesne University, Shelly was President of the university’s Advertising Club, which competed in the annual National Student Advertising Competition, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation. During her senior year, she volunteered at the ADDY Awards and organized a campus-wide presentation hosting nationally-renowned recruiting director, Brad Karsh.

Shelly lives in the North Hills and can’t get enough of her husky, Luna. In other free time, she enjoys running, playing sports and reading.
